A young studio with a long view.
House of Hann is an interior design and decor studio for homes in Bangalore and Chennai.
Who we are
We started House of Hann to design homes the way we would want our own designed: calmly, carefully and without surprises.
We are a new studio, and we are open about it. We take on a few homes at a time, so each one gets the attention a first project gets. Every home is designed and run by the same small team, from the first visit to the day you move in.
We work without a walk-in showroom. Consultations happen at your home or site, or by video call, and studio meetings are by appointment. What we save there goes into design time and the details of your home.
Principles
Four words we design by.
Calm
Rooms should slow you down, not ask for attention.
We edit hard. Fewer, better pieces, quiet colour, and storage that keeps everyday things out of sight.
Honest
Real materials, used where they last.
Timber where hands touch, stone where water falls, and finishes that wear in rather than wear out.
Light
We design the light before the furniture.
Daylight, sheers, layered lamps and dimmers. A room that feels right at 7 am and at 11 pm is lit for both.
Detail
The small things are the big things.
A door frame that lines up, a niche lit from within, a handle that feels good in the hand. That is where a home feels made for you.
- Conversation and site visit
We listen, measure and photograph the space, and talk through how you live and what you want to change.
- Concept and 3D design
Layouts, materials and lighting brought together as 3D views and walkthroughs you can review room by room.
- Itemised estimate
A line-by-line estimate and a written schedule, agreed with you before any work begins.
- Execution on site
Carpentry, finishes, lighting and installation, managed by us, with regular updates from site.
- Styling and handover
Furniture, decor and final details in place, then a walkthrough of your finished home.
What you can count on
A new studio, held to an old standard.
An itemised estimate
Room by room and line by line, so you can see where the budget goes before anything is ordered.
Design you approve in 3D
You see your rooms in 3D and sign them off before carpentry or civil work begins.
One designer, start to finish
The person who designs your home is the person you speak to on site.
Updates without chasing
Regular photo updates from site on WhatsApp, and a written schedule you can hold us to.
